This year Edinburgh’s DANCE:FILM 11 Festival is working with IdeasTap to find new dance film talent. We asked members to respond to our brief with anything from dance documentaries to experimental shorts. We’re delighted to announce that the following winners will have their films screened at the DANCE:FILM Festival on Sunday 13 November. Open Ended Space We were impressed by this montage film by Rosie Whitney-Fish and Tim Head who asked various artists to interpret one of Merce Cunningham’s statements and weaved them all together to make a single film in which a solo dance is interspersed with friezes and an assortment of disquieting footage.
